Chunarughat on the Map
Chunarughat is an administrative area in Habiganj district of Bangladesh. Madhabpur upazila on the south and Habiganj sadar upazila and Bahubal upazilas on the south, Srimangal upazila of India and maulavi bazar districts and Madhabpur upazila on the west. There was a lot of limestone rocks coming in the ancient times (khoyai). The traders came here to sell the sale of chunky stones. At first people called the limestone ghat, later it became the traditional township Chunarughat.
